First, before you buy any Medifast products make sure you use a Medifast coupon because it can really be expensive without it. Dont waste your hard earned money because you wanted to buy it without saving first!</p>
<p>So my friend (who shall remain nameless throughout this post) had to lose about 50 pounds to be where I consider him to be healthy. He had struggled with other diets in the past with varied success, sometimes he would lose 10-20 pounds but quickly pack it back on, and others he just wouldnt lose anything at all. The makers of Medifast claim that it is the most effective weight loss method so I thought it would be a good fit.</p>
<p>My friend is using their popular 5 and 1 plan where you eat 5 of their products throughout the day and then at night you make a lean and green meal out of &#8220;real food&#8221; (ie&#8230; non Medifast food).  This seemed like a sensible approach for him since there was very little guessing involved and I didnt have to be constantly available for him to tell him what he can and can not eat. Simplicity is always key when dieting!</p>
<p>I also put him on an exercise program, where he must either walk for 45 minutes or run/jog for 25 minutes at least four times a week. You often hear people say you can lose weight with 30 minutes three times a week but that is very slow and my friend wants to lose weight faster. No sense in being lazy at this point, its all or nothing!</p>
<p>So far through two weeks he has lost 8 pounds which is a very good start.  I must warn people that the first week or two is usually the easiest to lose weight because you weigh the most. Think of it in terms of percentage, 8 pounds is easier to lose at 300 pounds (3% total weight) than it is at 200 pounds (5% total weight) than it is at 100 pounds (10% total weight).  You get the idea.</p>
<p>So anyway I plan to keep this Medifast analysis updated to help answer the questions that you have all been asking me. Until then keep exercising and eating right and you will lose weight fast!</p>
